...Jesus and his disciples were about to pass by when a large crowd began to make a commotion... They realized that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
...He cried out repeatedly, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
...The title "Son of David" means "Savior (Messiah)," and calling out to Jesus, "Son of David," is a declaration of faith that "Jesus, you are the Savior and Healer!"

"Have mercy on me!"
...Unable to do anything about his suffering, sorrow, and misery,
...He cried out loudly, believing that Jesus would somehow do something for him.
...Jesus asked him, "What do you want me to do for you?"

He made a prayer request that seemed impossible: "Lord, I want to be able to see."

But Jesus made him see!
