When someone praises and compliments you... don't you sometimes pretend to be humble while secretly being overjoyed inside? 😅
I certainly do...
...My respected senior pastors always emphasized to me:
"When someone praises you... it's a red flag! 🚥"
...don't be immediately pleased, be cautious.

...I think there are two important elements to consider when judging people 🧐.

① What do other people say about that person?

② What does that person say about themselves when introducing themselves? 🤔❓️
...Proverbs 18:20-21.

… "A person will fill their stomach with the fruit of their mouth, and be filled with the harvest of their lips.
… Death and life are in the realm of the tongue. The person will eat the fruit of whichever they love."

When I was little…even when I did something good…I guess no one noticed 🤔

No one praised me, so I had no choice but to promote myself by saying, "I did it! ✌️😃"

If someone praises you, be grateful…and give glory to the Lord who transformed you!

…When you receive praise from others, praise the Lord 👏

If you don't become overconfident…the Lord will lift you up.
