David…had finally achieved his long-held dream of establishing the Kingdom of Israel, and just as it entered a period of stability…😰 he became arrogant… and committed adultery, which led to sins among his children.
Later…his son Absalom tried to assassinate him, and he temporarily fled Jerusalem…😓
…After his life was spared…his son Solomon became king.
Solomon…knew about the sin his father David had committed😢
…and he knew what the consequences of that sin would be🥶.
…Solomon obeyed God…and became a great king…but eventually…he became arrogant and sinned…creating the cause of the later division of the kingdom.
…We must always be vigilant about the traps hidden beneath worldly success.
…However, as a result of God's punishment, David confessed:
"Lord, what do I hope for now?
My hope is You❗️"
…All hope is in the Lord. When we eventually leave this earth and depart, what should we take with us? 🤔
...There is no greater happiness than knowing that Jesus has given salvation to even someone like me, made me a child of God, and that I will be able to return to the promised heaven!
...What is your "hope"?
