I was a shepherd, cultivating sycamore and fig trees.”
…God called Amos, a farmer, to save the people of Northern Israel.
Even though the nation prospered, the people of Israel had strayed from the true God. Amos said… “Prepare to meet your God.”
…Verse 15 says… “Hate what is evil, love what is good, and judge justly at your gates. Perhaps the Lord God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph.”
…The world…is morally corrupt…and sinking into sin like a bottomless swamp.
A life lived loving that swamp and ignoring God's judgment leads to eternal regret. ...As disciples of Christ, we want to become like a preservative, and
we too...
"Be saved from this crooked generation."
