This morning's scripture is a little harsh, but...
I want to make sure that I myself am not branded as a failure...
The phrase "while saying" that one knows God appears again, following on from Chapter 1.
"While saying..." 🤔

This is a common pitfall for Christians: the discrepancy between words and actions.
If you say, "I have met God," but do not keep what God has said,
...then you do not know God.
When we have emotional or sensory experiences, we use expressions like "I met God" or "I was enveloped in God's presence," but a truly essential encounter with God is simply saying "yes" to what God says and obeying it.
By becoming obedient and listening to what God says, we experience God's work and the expansion of salvation!

In a person who keeps God's word... God's love is truly fulfilled.

That's how we know we are in God.
