John said twice about the Lord Jesus, "I did not know him."
But...
..."I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove and remain on him."
...John saw it.
Therefore he testified that Jesus was the Son of God.
...What does this represent?
...It represents the baptism of Jesus.
Jesus came to John to be baptized.
Of course, John refused, saying it was outrageous for the sinless Christ to be baptized...😱
...At that moment, Jesus said,
"Let us do it now, for it is fitting for us to accomplish all what is right in this way."
...So John did as Jesus said.
...As soon as Jesus was baptized by John...
He came up out of the water...
And they saw heaven opened and the Spirit of God descend on him like a dove.
And so he became convinced that this person was the Christ, the Son of God❗️.
Today is...baptism.

John 3:5 says,
"Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'"
...Jesus, the Son of God, showed us the example of baptism❗️.
...Baptism is...not merely a ritual...the Spirit of God rests upon that person...🤔
