Today, I believe that the forces that hinder us from living a sanctified life like Jesus, and the elements that prevent us from living by God's word, are "flesh, passion, and desire."
Romans 8:6
Verse 7 says:
"The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.
For the mind of the flesh is rebellious against God.
...It does not submit to the law of God.
...Indeed, it cannot submit."
...Regarding the battle with the flesh...it is impossible to subdue it by our own strength.
...Galatians 5:16.
"I command you,
Walk by the Spirit, and you will never be satisfied by the desires of the flesh."
...To overcome the desires of the flesh, we must remain filled with the Spirit!
