…He continued to pour out his helpless emotions to God.

In such raw and honest prayer,
his heart began to change…
"But in the Lord I will be glad and courageous; in the God who saves me I will rejoice."
…His prayer of lament… transformed into joy!

…Furthermore,
"My Lord God is my strength. He makes my feet like a doe's; he enables me to walk on high places."
…God is my strength!

This transformed into a confession and praise!
…In offering unadorned, honest prayers to God,
Habakkuk's eyes turned to God. 🙄
His lamentations, sorrows, and frustrations were transformed into joy and praise to the Lord.
…Honest prayer to God leads us in the same way.

I believe it's important to come before God as you truly are, and to express all the ugly and unpleasant parts of your heart to Him in your own words.

...In such prayer, I believe the Holy Spirit works with us...and leads us to praise the Lord.
