It means continuing to live in trust in God until the very end of our earthly lives.

During the war...a pastor who was asked, "Is the Emperor great? Or is Christ great?"...declared, "Christ is God."
...Because of this declaration, he was imprisoned and subjected to brutal torture...But after the war ended...he was released from prison...and I remember the old pastor who continued to preach the gospel until he was old and called away...🤔.
