The people of Israel suffered immense hardship as a result of straying from God and committing sin.
They were defeated by the Babylonian Empire, their king and people were taken as slaves, and families were torn apart.
...All their pain and suffering was a consequence of their own actions—straying from God and turning to idolatry.
...However, with time, they returned to the land of Israel.
The pain they thought would never heal was healed, the tears they thought would never stop ceased, and the smiles they thought they would never see again returned to these people.
This was all a result of God's eternal love.
God forgave the terrible betrayal of the people of Judah and embraced them with love.

We realize we are judging and measuring others based on our own sense of justice...and we hastily repent...😨
...God's love, patience, and forgiveness—the things that give life—are what is needed.
