Repentance Bears Fruit
“Produce fruit, then, in keeping with repentance.”
Matthew 3:8
“Produce fruit, then, in keeping with repentance.”
Morning Word from Pastor Peter Sunagawa
🌅 Good morning
Saturday morning’s Bible Word is… 📖
Matthew 3:8.
…
“Produce fruit, then, in keeping with repentance.”
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
This is a little… 😨
painful to hear…
The “fruit” shows up in our words, actions, and attitudes according to what is influencing us and shaping us ❗️
…
A good fig tree bears good figs.
As we are influenced by the Holy Spirit, we begin to bear “the fruit of the Spirit” (Galatians 5:22)…
…
Repentance… is not simply feeling sorry or reflecting on what we did wrong‼️
It means changing direction.
…
Repentance that exists only in words brings no real change.
Repentance led by the Holy Spirit is repentance from the heart…
and we begin to change.
People see 🧐 that change
and begin to recognize it.
Let us put into practice in our daily lives the things we have repented of ❗️
✳️ No matter how many years we have been Christians…
if we are Christians who bear no fruit…
may we sincerely be led into repentance by the Holy Spirit 🙏.
✳️ I too… 😨
was slow to bear fruit… 😴
and for a long time I was not able to lead even those close to me… 😰
…
Even after becoming a Christian…
if there is no before & after,
probably no one will think,
“I want to become a Christian too.” 😱
…
When you become one grain of wheat,
the people around you will surely be saved ❗️
Shalom 😃
