Good morning 🌅
Friday’s Morning Word… 📖
John 1:26.
“I baptize with water,” John replied, “but among you stands One you do not know.”
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
John the Baptist was born to Zechariah, a priest, and lived in the wilderness as an adult.
…
He called people to a baptism of repentance.
His message was clear❗️
“The coming of the Savior, the Messiah, is near. Repent, seek forgiveness for your sins, and be baptized.”
…
The people, including the Pharisees, wondered whether John himself might be the Messiah… 🤔❓️
…
But John said that among the crowd stood someone they did not know.
…
Even with Jesus Christ in their midst, the people could not see who He was 😰
…
The same is true today❗️
Even when people are shown historical evidence that Jesus Christ existed, many do not believe… 😢
…
“There must be another god… 😡”
Some look for a religion that promises benefits for themselves.
…
After Jesus rose from the dead, He met two men walking sadly toward Emmaus and spoke with them.
Yet they did not recognize that the person speaking with them was Jesus 😵💦
When our spiritual eyes are blind, we may not notice Jesus even when He is right among us… 😨
…
When we repent, our spiritual blindness is healed, and we can recognize Jesus as Lord❗️
Even today, Jesus stands among those headed toward destruction, calling them to repent and turn back to Him❗️
Shalom 😃
